 11-11-11 She said Yes!11-11-11 was a magical day in NYC! My "new" fiance and I spent 11 hours of the day going to 11 different places throughout the city and documented every moment by taking a picture at the :11th minute of each hour.  Zacks first trip to the city!Decided to bring my youngest son on a trip to NY for the first time. It was a week before Christmas, and the number of people wandering the streets of NY was like nothing I've seen before!  Visibility Nil?Was visiting New York as part of a 2 week tour of USA and sadly the weather was not great (I should be used to that coming from the UK). The first day was told visibility was nil so left it, came back the second day, visibility nil but it was the last day was in New York so had to do it. It was very exciting riding the elevator to the top and I was most certainly not disappointed with the view. Sure it was a bit cloudy and wet but I think that made the view even more breathtaking. A 360 degree view of New York. Managed to get a photograph of the Statue of Liberty, she is very small but can still be seen. Also managed to get a photograph of USS Intrepid which was visited after Top of the Rock. I will be back again in New York between 11/29/11 and 12/03/11 and another visit to the Top of the Rock is certainly on my list of things to do, thinking of perhaps a night time visit this time.  Engaged at the TopMy boyfriend & I came to NYC on a beautiful Sat afternoon for the NY Auto Show. We ended up coming here first and he completely surprised me and proposed with the Empire State Building behind us.  Proposal ValentineValentine's Day, I surprised my girlfriend with tickets to the Top of the Rock. At the 69th floor, the sun had just set and NYC was in front of us in all its night glory. We were freezing, and my girlfriend wanted to leave, but I said we needed ”just one more photo”. I asked a random tourist to take a picture, and in between the red-eye flash and the real flash, I kneeled. My girlfriend hissed for me to get back up for the photo, but I just smiled, and told her how much I love her, how much better she made my life, and how I wanted her to be in my life forever. I ended with a quote from our favorite movie, and took out the ring.
